this is my design of the letter "O". It looks like a bomb which is surrounding by explosive lines.
"O" is my favorite letter, i don't really know why, might it let me think about circles. For "O" I have two designs: one is the bomb with surrounding smoke, the other is a dount.
Compare to the bomb one and the donut one, i chose the bomb one. because it has more detail in it and not as simple as the donut.
however, i tried to color the explosive smoke. the shape was not so good compare to the colorless one.
your project came out so cool! Wow! Your final came out really unique and awesome. I like how you tried new things and went out of your comfort zone

ReplyDeleteI agree with you that the colored version didn't look as good as colorless one. i really like how you shaded the bomb. You left a certain area lighter shade and that made it look more 3D and realistic.
ReplyDeleteI love the way it came out! The color made it look way more epic but it still looks awesome in black and white. You made it interesting to look at and also very true to the shape of the letter

ReplyDeleteI too like how you shaded the bomb's explosion. I also agree that the one without color looks more appealing because it inst too distracting from the bomb and the actual letter "O" itself. This reminds me of bomber-man. BOOM
ReplyDeleteI really like that you stuck with the black and white design. While colors make the piece have more child- like aspects, the black and white brings a more serious mood especially since it is such a serious object. This piece really created a dull atmosphere because of the bomb and color combination.

ReplyDeleteIt's really cool how much your design changed from the first drafts to your final. The lines making the ring are really smooth and it looks like you really put a lot of care in to drawing them.
